Research project at the Department of Land Economy of the University of Cambridge
From October 2016 to May 2017 Luciano Butti will be “Visiting Scholar” at the Department of Land Economy of the University of Cambridge (UK), where he will contribute to a comparative study in the field of contaminated sites and related regulations. The research project aims also to evaluate how European legislation concerning environmental damage and integrated pollution control affects national rules on remediation of contaminated sites. It will be examined in particular the meaning of the “baseline report” (IED) and the choices of various European States about crucial issues for contaminated land regimes, such as the position of the non-responsible owner and the identification of remedial targets. During the same period Luciano will also be “Visiting Fellow” at the Clare Hall College.
